Chiefs Win, 7-2, at Boston
Behind an impressive start by Larry Barker, Chicago beat Boston, 7-2. Barker picked up the win for Chicago, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. The Chiefs are off to a tough start, getting just their 7th win in 21 games.

Ricardo Castillo had a big 2-run double for the Chiefs in the top of the sixth inning. With Chicago leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a knuckle curve from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Richie Thornton and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 3-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Barker told the Chicago News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
