Rogers Delivers Walk-Off Win for Beacons
The Boston Beacons tallied a win at Beacon Park, throttling the Cleveland Grays, 2-1. Starting pitcher Fred Wilson was a big reason for his team's success. Boston is now 50-42. Cleveland is 45-51.

The decisive blow was delivered by Don Rogers in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 34-year old left-handed pitcher Frank Howard to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Wilson said, postgame.
