| Markham Gets 3-0 Shutout | Otis Markham had the Brooklyn Kings dancing to his tune during a sparkling 3-0 shutout performance for the Chicago Chiefs. He gave up 5 hits, issued 5 walks and had 1 strikeout.
Brooklyn hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery.
"When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point," opposing manager Jack Fairchild said. "We just never figured him out."
