The Los Angeles Stars found a way to sneak past the Cleveland Foresters, 3-2, in 11 innings. Los Angeles pitcher Bill Dunham, for one, had a standout performance. Los Angeles pitcher Bill Dunlop got the win. He's now 2-0. Bob Scott was tagged with the loss. The loss drops the Foresters to 8-9.

The Stars got a clutch hit from first baseman Bobby Garrison. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Stars.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Los Angeles field general Charley McCullough.
