| Eagles Drop Pioneers, 4-2 | Washington Eagles starter Bill Pisani was dealing. He helped his team knock off the St. Louis Pioneers, 4-2. Bert Behrendt earned his 15th save in 19 chances. Washington has now won 3 in a row.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bill Barrett? The fan favorite Barrett stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Washington up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Pisani.
