| Beavers Upend Cannons, 5-2 | Due in large part to right fielder Jim Bouldin, the Toronto Beavers sunk the Baltimore Cannons, 5-2. Bouldin was 3-3 with 3 singles. Stu Witt picked up the win, improving his season record to 12-8. He struck out 3 in 8.1 innings. The Toronto win streak is now 3 games.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from center fielder Mike Nettesheim. For the game, Nettesheim went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Toronto a 2-0 lead.
"We did a lot of things right," said Bouldin.
