| Taylor Shuts Out Philadelphia, 5-0 | Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Philadelphia Keystones as starter Joe Taylor shut them out, 5-0, at Pioneer Field. The St. Louis pitcher struck out 2 and walked 1 while allowing 5 hits.
"Taylor was good but he wasn't flawless," Philadelphia manager Dusty Morris said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from St. Louis, but this is on us."
This season, Taylor has crafted a 4-2 mark with a 0.74 ERA in 73 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .183 against him and he has 41 strikeouts. | | | | | |
