Edwards Leads Comets to 8-3 Win Over Chiefs
The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago Chiefs and Houston Comets get after it.

The Houston Comets beat the Chicago Chiefs by a score of 8-3. Houston right fielder John Edwards deserved the lion's share of the credit. Edwards went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Comets. The loss drops Chicago to 12-10.

Edwards contributed in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Houston get the win.

"I like our moxie," said Comets manager Glenn Carney.
