| Nadreau Befuddles Cincinnati in 3-0 Washington Win | In a remarkable performance, Washington Eagles starter Gary Nadreau beat the Cincinnati Monarchs, 3-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Eagles hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Cincinnati manager Jack Schmidt said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
This year, Nadreau has gone 12-8 with an ERA of 2.04 and has 68 strikeouts in 172.1 innings. | |
