Houston picked up a win at Dalton Domed Stadium, bumping off the Detroit Dynamos, 5-4. Pitcher Johnny Blackburn was a major reason the Comets emerged victorious. Al Bailey closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. The Dynamos drop to 8-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 1975 season.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Hank Andrew had a game-changing hit. The Comets center fielder slammed a 2-run single off Carl Hoffman, making the score 5-1, Houston.

"I went after the hitters," said Blackburn. "No pussyfooting around."
