| Eagles Upend Gothams, 4-2 | Washington and New York duked it out and the Eagles came out victorious.
Lloyd Shepherd, who finished 2nd in the FL in ERA with 1.76 in 1914, pitched well, but the New York Gothams still fell short, losing, 4-2, to the Washington Eagles at Bigsby Oval II. The Eagles sport a record of 28-48.
Bill Barrett, who led the FL in RBI with 93 in 1915, had a direct impact on the outcome. Barrett contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Washington up, 2-0.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Barrett.
