Red-Hot Kennedy Cools Off Cleveland
Al Kennedy kept the Cleveland Grays hitters from doing much damage at Thorvald Park.

Cleveland could only muster 8 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Kennedy, who controlled them throughout the game. Chicago won the contest, 1-0. Kennedy added 2 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Kennedy told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
