| Kings Win, 2-0, as Taddeo Mystifies Philadelphia | The Philadelphia Keystones manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Brooklyn Kings. The Keystones were overpowered by Brooklyn starter John Taddeo, who hurled his club to victory, 2-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Dusty Morris said.
Over 9 innings, Taddeo blanked Philadelphia on 5 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Taddeo said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
This year, Taddeo has fanned 53 in 163.1 innings and collected a 11-7 record with a 1.76 ERA. | | | | | |
