Starting pitcher Jim Roseman gave the Baltimore Cannons a rock-solid effort. The Dearborn, Michigan native helped his team defeat the Detroit Lancers, 1-0, at Thompson Field. The win went to Harry Petrie in relief, making him now 2-3. John Humphreys took the loss for Detroit. The victory puts Baltimore at 27-43.

Baltimore took advantage of an error in the top of the ninth inning. The game was tied, 0-0, when Pete Sheridan hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Cannons in front, 1-0.

"Jim was throwing strikes, locating well," said Baltimore manager Monty Beatson.
