| Cannons Pin 10-4 Loss on Pittsburgh | A good performance from center fielder Charlie Dyer helped the Baltimore Cannons defeat the Pittsburgh Mechanics, 10-4. Dyer went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Cannons. The win puts Baltimore at 10-17.
Baltimore pitcher Sam Lehman contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Cannons ahead, 2-0.
"We hit the ball hard," said Baltimore manager Monty Beatson. "Line drive after line drive."
