| Washington Topples Philadelphia, 4-1 | Bill Pisani, who is tied for 5th in the FL in innings pitched with 157.0, had a strong outing for the Washington Eagles against the Philadelphia Keystones at Broad Street Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. In 9 innings, Pisani surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Washington has now won 3 straight, while the Keystones have lost 3 in a row.
Bill Barrett, who finished 3rd in the FL in home runs with 11 in 1915, had a direct impact on the outcome. Barrett contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put Washington up, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pisani said after the game.
