| Grays Fall Short, 3-2, at Pittsburgh | In a tight tilt between the Pittsburgh Mechanics and the Cleveland Grays, Leroy Budimir was the deciding factor. The Pittsburgh right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Budimir, who is on pace to win 20 games this season, went the distance for Pittsburgh. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. The triumph puts Pittsburgh at 39-29 for the season.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when left fielder Jasper McNeely hit a triple. The Mechanics went on to win.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Budimir.
