| Milwaukee Defeated by Cleveland, 5-2 | Cleveland Foresters starter Roy Rice turned in an exceptional performance against the Milwaukee Arrows at Forester Stadium, resulting in a Cleveland win, 5-2. Rice picked up the win for Cleveland, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Bob V James was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.
There was more than one reason the Foresters beat the Arrows, but Rice's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Rice.
The win gives Cleveland a record of 8-8. | |
