Powered by Bill Perry, the Los Angeles Suns downed the St. Louis Pioneers, 8-1. Perry was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Suns. Picking up the win was Bob Hinzman. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits. The left--hander struck out 7 and walked 3. Los Angeles is now 14-6.

With Los Angeles leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Perry hit a splitter from Harry Anderson for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Suns ahead, 4-0.
