Britt Hittin' on All Cylinders
It was a special day for Boots Britt at Capital Grounds. Not only did Britt's Washington Eagles beat the Chicago Chiefs, 7-6, but the second baseman hit for the cycle along the way.

The 27-year-old Britt racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-6 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored.

"He hit everything we threw," said Chiefs manager Claude Heaton. "There was just no getting him out today."

Speaking to the press after the game, Britt said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs."

"I got some good looks today," he said.

Boots Britt hit a solo-shot off Otis Markham in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and flied out in the 11th.

At the moment, Britt is hitting .378 with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs. He has played in 20 games and scored 11 times.
