Prentiss Magic in 2-0 Shutout
Win Prentiss subdued the Indianapolis Red Caps, 2-0, pitching a 6-hit gem for the Fort Wayne Cannons at Fort Wayne Grounds.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Fort Wayne skipper Ray Flanders said.

Prentiss registered 4 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Indianapolis manager Oscar Featherstone after the defeat.

Up to now Prentiss has compiled an ERA of 4.32 with a 18-18 mark over 39 starts. He has 104 strikeouts in 323 innings and has held opponents to a .275 batting average.
