Marco Middleton brought his A-game to help Atlanta defeat the Boston Minutemen, 4-1. Middleton picked up the win for Atlanta, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. The save was credited to Buddy Thomas, his 4th.

Atlanta first baseman John Moreland contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a slider to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Copperheads ahead, 4-1.

"Marco had electric stuff," said Atlanta manager Don Fox.

The Minutemen fall to 3-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 1975 season.
