| Gothams Drop Suns, 3-2 | New York beat Los Angeles on the strength of starting pitcher Clarence Reimer's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. The winner was Reimer. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Jim Foster. The loss makes Los Angeles 9-8.
The Gothams got a big at-bat from third baseman Frank Arnold. For the game, Arnold went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave New York a 3-2 lead.
