| Wranglers Earn 8-2 Win Against Mavericks | The Dallas Wranglers defeated the Kansas City Mavericks, 8-2, in 10 innings at Mavericks Stadium. Slick Dunn pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran went 3 for 6 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win puts Dallas at 12-8.
The Mavericks had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Wranglers going into the top of the tenth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick John Miller came to the plate. Miller hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Kansas City hurler John Moss. It was Miller's 2nd double of the year.
"They took it to us," said Kansas City manager Bob Bendick.
