| Keystones Deal Suns 4-3 Defeat | The Philadelphia Keystones picked up a win at Broad Street Park II, knocking off the Los Angeles Suns, 4-3. On the mound for Philadelphia was right-hander Billy Hasson. He played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Hasson, now 6-5. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Buzz Lucas recorded the save, his 2nd.
Philadelphia went up, 4-2, on Jake Butler's 13th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Butler hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Jack Meeks feeling deflated.
Said Philadelphia manager Charlie Leist: "Billy came into the game mentally strong. He dominated."
With the win, Philadelphia has a record of 42-41. Los Angeles falls to 49-34.
