| Dynamos Sunk by Millers | Don Hillshire was locked in. The right-hander led the Minneapolis Millers to a 4-3 win against the Detroit Dynamos at Hennepin County Stadium. Bobby Crooks earned his 3rd save in 7 chances. With the win, last-place Minneapolis is 20-77.
Hillshire contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Minneapolis in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Hillshire took a sinker from Paul Anderson and stroked the double to right. His 2nd double of the season allowed the Millers to leap in front, 3-2.
"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Hillshire. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
