Jaramillo Helps Cleveland Bombard Toronto
Soggy conditions did not keep Cleveland and Toronto from playing their scheduled game.

The Cleveland Foresters powered past the Toronto Wolves, 17-4, at Dominion Stadium. Carlos Jaramillo went 3-5 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 5 runs and driving in 4, to lead the charge. Dick Couture was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.

With Cleveland leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Jaramillo hit a sinker from Manny Espinosa for a 2-run double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Foresters ahead, 4-1.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Cleveland manager Ray Parsons.

With the win, the Foresters have a record of 42-40.
