Cleveland pitcher Dick Couture did his part in helping his team beat the Milwaukee Arrows, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The loss lowers the Milwaukee record to 9-6.

Carlos Jaramillo went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Cleveland. The fan favorite had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Joe Wright. It was his 15th hit of the season.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Milwaukee manager Randy Hendrix.
