| Minutemen Drop Dynamos, 6-2 | The Boston Minutemen earned a win at Thompson Field, stopping the Detroit Dynamos, 6-2. Starting pitcher Mario Saucedo played a big role in his team's success. Saucedo, now 1-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The win puts Boston at 8-13.
Boston used a clutch at-bat from Joe Kleman to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Minutemen ahead, 6-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
