Cimino Stars in 7-1 Pioneers Win
Due in large part to shortstop Larry Cimino, the St. Louis Pioneers sunk the Washington Eagles, 7-1. Cimino was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Tige Bowe was the winner. He's now 9-6. The loser was former first round draft pick Bill Kelly. With the win, the Pioneers have a record of 42-40.

In the bottom of the second, St. Louis center fielder Art Williams had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Williams stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 2-0, St. Louis. For the game, he went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Williams. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
