| Sailors Win, 6-3, Over Los Angeles | San Francisco pitcher Oscar Edwards did his part in helping his team beat the Los Angeles Stars, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With this game in the books, San Francisco is 23-19, Los Angeles 24-18.
Sam Franklin had a big 2-run double for the Sailors in the top of the second inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from four-time All-Star Bud Henderson and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sailors ahead, 3-0.
Franklin called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
