Saints Edge Past Foresters, 5-4
The Montreal Saints picked up a win at Stade Montreal, taking down the Cleveland Foresters, 5-4, in 12 innings. On the mound for Montreal was right-hander Eddie Martin. He played a central role in the triumph. Cliff Dinger, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Saints organization, was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Lynn Horn. The 7th-place Saints hiked their record to 47-72.

The Saints got a clutch hit from first baseman Ham Flanders. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Saints.

"This game showed the grit and grind of our guys," said Flanders.
