| Suns Walk It Off for 12th Win of Season | Los Angeles beat St. Louis at Wilshire Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to second baseman Bill Perry. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Ron Clark picked up the win in relief for Los Angeles, while Roy McDonald took the loss. The Suns, now 12-6, have played some good baseball in the early going.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Perry hit a curveball from Roy McDonald for a solo home run. The Suns, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Right now, things are falling our way," said Los Angeles manager Jim Coulter.
