The result was an impressive 5-2 Toronto victory at Dominion Stadium. The winner was Colantuono. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Beau McClellan. The Wolves raised their record to 9-11.
In the bottom of the sixth, Toronto third baseman Clyde Fisher had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Fisher stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 5-2, Toronto. For the game, he went 1-3. He drove in 2 runs.
Fisher expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end." | |
