San Francisco pitcher Elmer Peters had a large part in his team beating the Dallas Wranglers, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the victory, the Sailors upped their record to 42-40.

San Francisco second baseman Joe Franklin contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 17th hit of the season and put the Sailors ahead, 3-1.

Franklin told a San Francisco Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
