| Cannons Upend Arrows, 4-3 | The Cincinnati Cannons topped the Milwaukee Arrows, 4-3, in Continental Association action at Lakefront Park. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati pitcher and Cincinnati, Ohio, native Ace Barrell. The Cannons sport a record of 32-50.
Pete Bruce, who finished 3rd in the CA in on-base percentage with .395 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bruce contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Cincinnati up, 4-3.
"Nice win for us," said Bruce. "Now we'll go after the next one."
