The winning pitcher was Warren, now 2-0. He tossed 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2. Cleveland has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Cleveland shortstop Herb Reed contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 88th hit of the season and put the Foresters ahead, 3-1.
"Larry had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Cleveland manager Ray Parsons.
