Suns Win at Home, 2-1
Los Angeles registered a win at Wilshire Park by beating the Chicago Chiefs, 2-1. Pitcher Heinie Schmidt was one reason why the Suns triumphed. The Suns lead the Federal Association West by 6 games.

The Suns got a big hit from right fielder Larry Hurlbutt. In the bottom of the sixth, Hurlbutt smacked a 2-run home run off Chicago pitcher Otis Hawkins. It was his 3rd home run of the season. Suddenly, the Suns were ahead, 2-1.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Hurlbutt.
