| Blackburn Schools Detroit in 3-0 Houston Triumph | The Houston Comets topped the Detroit Dynamos, 3-0, in Federal Association action at Thompson Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Houston pitcher Johnny Blackburn. With the win, the Comets have a record of 42-38.
Blackburn was in the zone all game. He frustrated Detroit hitters while giving the Comets 8 innings of quality work. Blackburn threw 101 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 4 punchouts.
