Black Excels, Dallas Blows Out Kansas City
The Dallas Wranglers pinned a convincing loss on the Kansas City Mavericks, 17-3, at Norris Stadium. Joe Black was a main factor in the win. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 for Dallas. Picking up the win was Pete Rosenbaum. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 2. After today's action, Dallas sits at 38-42; Kansas City slips to 32-50.

With Dallas leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Black hit a changeup from Orville Johnson for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Wranglers ahead, 4-0.

"We hit the ball hard," said Dallas manager Vic Kramer. "Line drive after line drive."
