Minutemen Win 3-2 Nail-Biter Versus Millers
The Boston Minutemen picked up a win at Minuteman Stadium, downing the Minneapolis Millers, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Hank Springer, who played a pivotal role in the win. Boston sits at 10-7 in the early going.

The Minutemen got a clutch hit from catcher Ed Cole. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Minutemen.

"This joint was rocking," said Cole.
