Al Farmer was instrumental in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Montreal Saints. The second baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs for the Cincinnati Cannons. Cincinnati pitcher Charlie Warren earned the win, hiking his record to 7-2. Phil Murry suffered the loss. Paul Williams got the save, the 8th for him this season.

In the top of the first, Art McKinney pounced on a knuckleball from Phil Murry and hit a 2-run single. It gave Cincinnati a quick 2-0 lead.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Farmer.

The loss makes Montreal 44-71.
