Prairie Park was the site for Continental Association action featuring the Kansas City Kings and Cincinnati Cannons.

A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Dallas Berry, who finished 4th in the CA in slugging percentage with .542 in 1958, led the Cincinnati Cannons to a win over the Kansas City Kings, 11-1. With the win, the Cannons improved to 61-55.

Berry had a crucial hit for Cincinnati with two out in the top of the third. With Cincinnati trailing 1-0, Berry hit a 3-run home run. It was his 24th home run of the season and put the Cannons ahead, 3-1.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Berry.
