Kleminski Stars in 7-1 Foresters Win | The Cleveland Foresters downed the New York Imperials, 7-1, at Forester Stadium. The Foresters were led by Stan Kleminski. Kleminski was 2-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The second-place Foresters have won 4 in a row.
Hal Kennedy's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning was a big one for Cleveland. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Cleveland trailing 1-0, the catcher hit a run-scoring single.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Cleveland skipper Jim Whitehead. | |
