| Keystones Nipped, 5-4, by Boston | The Philadelphia Keystones could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Joe Downing into a win. Instead, the Boston Minutemen prevailed, 5-4. Boston occupies second place in the Federal Association East at 43-37.
Dick Ward was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Minutemen left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
