Hubbard Stars in 12-4 Copperheads Win
The Atlanta Copperheads captured an easy win, 12-4, over the Baltimore Clippers at Peachtree Stadium. Al Hubbard led the offensive barrage, going 4-for-5 for Atlanta. Their 49-30 record puts the Copperheads first in the Federal Association East.

The Copperheads got an important contribution from catcher Henry Woods, who in the bottom of the first hit a 1-2 splitter to left for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Copperheads ahead, 5-1.

Baltimore manager Hank Luckenbaugh said: "We'll rinse this one off and get ready for the next game."
