| Saints Take Home 4-1 Win Over Toronto | The Montreal Saints picked up a win at Stade Montreal, dropping the Toronto Wolves, 4-1. Bob Nelson was the difference-maker. Nelson got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Montreal, with the win, is 9-23.
The Saints got a big at-bat from catcher Garland Phelps. For the game, Phelps was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Montreal a 1-0 lead.
