Kings Lose, 4-2, at Forester Stadium | The Cleveland Foresters racked up a win at Forester Stadium, bumping off the Kansas City Kings, 4-2. Les Hanauer, who started for Cleveland, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, Cleveland raised its record to 20-13.
Cleveland took the lead, 4-2, on Earl Howe's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Kansas City pitcher Fred Washington in the bottom of the seventh.
After the game, Cleveland manager Jim Whitehead applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said. | |
