| Millers Handle Detroit, Snag 4-2 Win | Minneapolis turned a good effort from starter Hank Wagner into a win over the Detroit Dynamos at Thompson Field. The final score was 4-2. Wagner picked up the win for Minneapolis, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 6-7. With the win, Minneapolis pushed its record to 40-38.
The Millers got a big at-bat from third baseman Carl Kilkenny. For the game, Kilkenny went 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 2-1 lead.
