Suns Handle Dynamos, Nab 5-4 Win
The Los Angeles Suns knocked off the Detroit Dynamos, 5-4, at Thompson Field. Bill Perry was a big reason Los Angeles won. The third baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Los Angeles reliever Jack Meeks picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Beau McClellan was saddled with the loss. With this game in the books, Los Angeles is 47-29, Detroit 22-52.

Sam Forrester came through with a big-time hit for Los Angeles. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Forrester said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
