Ray Smith, who finished 3rd in the FL in home runs with 4 in 1908, propelled his team to victory over the Washington Eagles. The final score was 4-2, Philadelphia. Lou Rieman earned the save, his 1st.
Philadelphia took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Paul Anderson hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Keystones in front, 3-2.
