| Clippers Suffer One-Run Loss at Boston | The Boston Minutemen topped the Baltimore Clippers, 3-2, in Federal Association action at Minuteman Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Boston pitcher Bob Scott. The save was credited to Ken West, his 1st. Boston is now 42-35, Baltimore 41-35.
Jim Morton went 1-2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once against the Clippers. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Boston in front, 3-2.
"Bob did a good job of shutting their lineup down," said Boston manager Dode Edwards.
