Warren Silences Toronto Bats | In a tightly-contested game between the Cincinnati Cannons and the Toronto Wolves, pitcher Charlie Warren was outstanding. The Cincinnati right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the CA in holds with 3, propelled his team's 2-0 win. Cincinnati's record now stands at 58-54, placing them 4th in the Continental Association.
Warren, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 6-2. In 8.1 innings of work, Warren gave up no runs on 3 hits, while racking up 6 Ks. He kept the Wolves punchless, offensively.
"When Charlie is in the zone, it's kind of like -- good luck," said Cincinnati manager Buddy Baumgart. | |
