| Arrows Collect 2-1 Win Over Wolves | The Milwaukee Arrows used a top-flight performance from Red Burtch, who is tied for 10th in the CA in wins with 8, to beat the Toronto Wolves, 2-1, in 10 innings. The first-place Arrows are 45-34.
The Arrows relied on shortstop Ed Thomas for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"It's not about individual awards," Thomas told a Milwaukee Herald reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
